The Ambassade Hotel is situated in 10 original 17th-century canal-side mansions along the Herengracht and Singel which is part of the Canal Belt. It offers free WiFi 2 lifts and unique rooms featuring luxurious décor combining art works from the famous 1950’s-CoBrA movement with Louis XV furnishing. Each air-conditioned room includes satellite TV a seating area and a work desk. Guests receive a discount on sessions and combined massages offered at Koan Float the hotel’s floatation center. The Library-Bar contains over 5000 books all signed by the authors during their stay at the Ambassade Hotel and has an adjacent lounge that can also be hired for small meetings. On the first floor Brasserie Ambassade is run by Executive Chef Tom van Buuren and his brigade who specialize in the classic French cuisine. In this Brasserie decorated by art works and chandeliers and overlooking the canal each morning a breakfast buffet including a variety of hot dishes cooked to order is being served. Dam Square featuring the Royal Palace is 600 meters away from the hotel. The Kalverstraat shopping area is a 5 minutes walk and also Anne Frank’s House and the great Museums are close by.
